Privacy Policy

PinWorth exists to tell you what a pin is worth, and that takes a photo, a catalog lookup, and some market data. This page describes exactly what flows through the app, where it goes, and how to take it back.

Effective June 10, 2026

§1Who we are

The PinWorth iOS application (the “App”) and the pinworth.app website (the “Site”) are operated by Monadly (“we”, “our”). Questions about this policy can be sent to hi@monadly.com. By using the App or the Site you agree to the practices described here.

§2The photo you scan

Scanning is the heart of the App. When you photograph a pin (or pick an image from your library) and submit it, the cropped image is transmitted to our appraisal service, where it is analyzed to find the matching catalog entry and to assess visible condition. The photo is processed for this purpose — to produce your identification and appraisal result — and to maintain and improve the accuracy of the recognition system.

The App only accesses the camera when you are scanning and only receives the specific library images you choose. We never browse your photo library, and scans are not used to identify people.

§3What else we collect

Account details

You can scan without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google to back up your collection, we receive the identifier your provider shares, plus the name and email address you authorize (Apple lets you hide your real address). We never see your password.

Your collection

Saved appraisals, boards, wishlist entries, and collector profile answers are stored so your portfolio follows you across devices when you are signed in.

Purchases

Apple processes all payments; card numbers never reach us. We receive subscription status (for example, whether Premium is active) through Apple and our subscription-management provider so the App can unlock the features you paid for.

Diagnostics and usage

Crash reports, device model, OS version, app version, and feature-usage events help us find bugs and decide what to build next. These are collected through the analytics services listed in §5.

§4How information is used

  • Producing pin matches, condition assessments, and value ranges for your scans.
  • Showing market evidence such as comparable listings and recent sales alongside a result.
  • Keeping your boards, wishlist, and portfolio in sync when you sign in.
  • Unlocking and maintaining subscription features.
  • Fixing crashes, preventing abuse, and improving recognition quality.
  • Measuring, with your consent where required, which ad campaigns bring new collectors to the App.
  • Answering your support messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads inside the App.

§5Services we rely on

A small set of processors helps run PinWorth. Each receives only what its job requires and operates under its own privacy terms:

  • Apple — sign-in, payments, and App Store distribution.
  • Google — optional sign-in.
  • Firebase (Google) — analytics and crash reporting.
  • RevenueCat — subscription status management.
  • Meta SDK — install attribution for our own ad campaigns, subject to the tracking choice below.
  • Marketplace data sources (such as eBay's public APIs) — comparable listings and sales used in appraisals. Your photos are not shared with marketplaces.

§6Your tracking choice

On first launch, iOS asks whether PinWorth may track you across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, attribution is limited to aggregate, privacy-preserving measurement. You can change your mind anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

§7Retention and deletion

Collection data is kept while your account is active. Delete a saved pin and it leaves your portfolio; delete your account (in-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account) and the account plus its associated collection data are permanently removed. You can also email hi@monadly.com to request deletion, a copy of your data, or a correction.

Diagnostic and analytics records age out on the schedules of the services in §5. Anonymized, aggregated statistics that no longer identify you may be retained.

§8Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to us and we will honor valid requests within the timelines your law sets. We do not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

§9Security and transfers

Data moves over TLS and is stored with access controls on infrastructure in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect in the first place — the best-protected data is the data that was never gathered.

§10Children

PinWorth is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has used the App with an account, contact us and we will delete the data.

§11Changes to this policy

When practices change, this page changes first, and the effective date above moves with it. Material changes will also be flagged inside the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
