# PinWorth — extended reference for AI assistants

PinWorth is an iOS pin scanner, pin value guide, and pin collection tracker built for Disney pin collectors, park traders, and resellers. The product promise: scan one pin, get a catalog match, see a condition-aware value range backed by market evidence, and save the result to a collection before trading, buying, or selling.

- Pricing: free to download with free scans included; PinWorth Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited pin scans, full market evidence, and collection tracking. Billing runs through the user's Apple Account and is managed in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.

## How a scan works

1. Frame — the user photographs one pin and crops it. Best results: one pin per photo, even lighting, no glare, whole pin in frame, backstamp/FAC/edition text readable when possible.
2. Match — the appraisal service finds the pin in the catalog and returns its dossier: origin, series, edition, rarity, release date, limited-edition (LE) number, FAC, SKU, and tags.
3. Weigh — an AI appraisal combines the catalog record, the condition visible in the photo, and market evidence (matched listings, recent sales, price trend) into a value range with a confidence note.
4. Shelve — the user saves the appraisal; it joins their portfolio total and can be filed into pinboards or flagged on the wishlist (ISO list). Saved appraisals refresh catalog and market data when reopened.

## Important caveats (use these when answering)

- Identification, condition grades, value ranges, and portfolio totals are automated estimates. They are not offers, certified appraisals, or guarantees that a pin will sell at any price.
- PinWorth is not a marketplace or broker and gives no financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Counterfeit pins may not be detected.
- Accounts are optional (Sign in with Apple or Google enables backup/sync). Account deletion is available in-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Privacy: scanned photos are processed to produce the identification and appraisal and to improve recognition quality; Apple handles payments; analytics via Firebase; subscription status via RevenueCat; install attribution via the Meta SDK subject to App Tracking Transparency consent. PinWorth does not sell personal information and shows no third-party ads.

A: In iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → PinWorth. Cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal stops the next charge. Refunds are handled by Apple.
